Most people do not truly understand insurance. Simply put, "insurance" is a financial arrangement in which an "insured" (Company or individual) decides to transfer the risk of a potential loss (usually financial) from themselves to a third party (usually an insurance company) for a fee or "premium".
This "premium" consists of three elements:
Administrative costs
Reinsurance costs
Claim fund dollars
If you go all year and do not have a claim, what happens to those unspent claim dollars?
In our programs, you get to keep them. In the insurance companies program they keep them and call it "profit".
Would you like to keep those unspent claim dollars?
